Welcome! I’m Steve, a retired fixed income portfolio manager. I’m enjoying retired life, which includes a lot of recreation, daily activities with my wife MaryBeth and our dog Luna, and plenty of fun with friends and my three adult children.

Things I’m doing right now with my free time include: sailing at the Long Beach Yacht Club, playing ice hockey with my OGH (Old Guy Hockey) mates, playing golf at the Palos Verdes Golf Club, cruising around Alamitos Bay in our Duffy boat, staying abreast of the financial markets and making some opportunistic trades from time to time, reading daily and listening to a few podcasts, and finishing up work on my book including creating this website to be able to connect with readers.

I wrote routinely as part of my career, but I’m now enjoying the freedom to write more creatively and share some of my personal experiences and observations on people and life in general. I really enjoyed the process of putting pen to paper and documenting the funny and at times absurd stories that filled my life.

I plan to take a breath before considering whether I want to continue writing, and if so, whether I continue the personal storytelling or try a different form of writing…perhaps fiction.

I would highly encourage others who may not have considered writing to give it a try. It’s something that I never considered fun until I sat down and got going.
